![]() Worried that your mouth doesn’t smell as fresh as it should? Have you been told so, which has thrown you off your game? Fear not. We have a set of fresh breath tips which will aid you in your pursuit to have fresh breath. Here are a few remedies for bad breath. Brush your teeth Brush your teeth at least two times a day. Brushing your teeth kills the bacteria that forms in your mouth. This is the bacteria that is responsible for foul odors and decays. Make sure you floss your teeth at least once a day. Flossing reaches those areas of your mouth where the brush cannot. You will notice the difference after flossing. PS: Use a favorite flavor for the toothpaste. Mint is a good one for a feel and smell of freshness. Avoid processed and sugary foods in great amounts Chocolates and the other kinds of sugary foods which we usually ask children to avoid - should be avoided by all age groups, of course in excessive quantities. Not only do these foods aid in decaying teeth, but also work toward making an unhealthy system. A body that isn't functioning optimally can release a bad odor through the mouth and through sweat, so feed yourself with cleansing, healthy, and unprocessed foods and your breath will be fresh. Clean your tongue Bacteria stick to your taste buds, after which they release a waste byproduct that causes a gross stench. When you use a tongue scraper or brush your tongue, you remove any bacteria or its byproducts, or plaque that form which aids in giving you a fresh breath coupled with activities such as rinsing with a mouthwash. Rinse with alcohol free mouthwash The goal is to always keep your mouth moist, because your saliva helps wash away odor- and cavity-causing bacteria. Alcohol dries your mouth out and leads to more bacteria and eventually bad breath. Choose a mouthwash without alcohol or if you can, create your own at home using 1 tablespoon baking soda poured into 1 cup warm water with a few drops of essential peppermint oil. Baking soda is antibacterial, there isn't any alcohol it in, and it can help freshen up your breath in a pinch if you run out of mouthwash. Chew gum Chewing gum can help remove the bacteria from your teeth and tongue surface. An added advantage is that if the chewing gum is made for freshening breath, you can have fresh breath easily. Chew on parsley leaves Chew on some parsley leaves. It may seem weird, but parsley leaves are rich in a chemical called chlorophyll, which helps freshen breath. Just like bugs bunny chewed on a carrot every now and then, you can go for parsley leaves maybe? At times, bad breath is because of bacteria and if ignored, it can cause emergencies. Use the above remedies for bad breath. Once you have fresh breath, you will become more confident when talking to people and you most certainly will not have to think twice about whether you are smelling bad or not. Comments are closed.
